In the beginning there were two
Initially the Channel crossing was a joint venture between me and Angus Wingfield.
We were aware that from day one that we had to bring our body tempreatures down as soon as possible.
We started this in December 2007 where we would meet on the seafront at splash point at about 8am and sit in the sea for up to half an hour at a time.
We got some funny looks at the time and my god it was cold, but what a beautiful view of the coast you got from there. We would then shiver all the way back to our cars and drive straight to the gym to warm up with a hot shower and a coffee.
As well as doing this we started pool trasining at Bannertyne's gym together and competition soon became a part of training. It was good as we would push each other more and more.
Then along came Mark Thomson of Liberty Training who took us on from there and continued his coaching right up to this day.
