Support Crossings
I have been lucky enough to be available to support swim and crew for a number of channel swims. Crewing means just getting stuck in with the general bits and bobs along the way and being a support swimmer means that you can enter the water after the first two hours to pace the swimmer incase they are starting to slow up. This can be a great way of getting a glimpse of what it is like to walk up onto the beach in France before your actual swim.
I was Lucky enough to go along on Brents swim along with some of his family members. It was am amazing and long day, but Brent made France in a great time.
We were aboard Andy King's boat and Keith Jefferies was the CSA observer for the swim (Top Bloke).
There was some drama on thew way with a French Warship and an F16 but we all managed to make it out alive. Here are some pictures of that dat and incase you can't guess, Brent is from Canada.
The old beer trick!!! Victory at last
We were followed home that day by a pod of dolphins jumping in our boats wake, what a way to end it!!
